Information
Several foreign powers with a foothold in CHINA, maintained Post Offices all
over the country. The P.O.'s of GERMANY operated in SHANGHAI and various other
towns, from 1886. German overprinted stamps were issued between 1898-1913 and
were in use until 1917, when the P.O.'s were closed.
