Information
Several foreign powers with a foothold in CHINA, maintained Post Offices all
over the country. The P.O.'s of GREAT BRITAIN (U.K.) operated from 1862 until 1922 in SHANGHAI
and other towns. Overprinted stamps of HONG KONG were issued between 1917-1922.
After 1922 and until 1930 they were valid only at Wei-Hai-Wei, which was the
last British Post Office in China.
