Information
Formerly part of the Italian Aegean Islands (see AEGEAN ISLANDS (general)),
which came under Greek Administration following World War II. Stamps were issued
in 1947. Until 1947 stamps of ITALY were in use. In 1945 stamps of the British
Army were in use for some of the islands (see MIDDLE EAST FORCES). Today the
Dodecanese Islands are part of GREECE (HELLAS).
