Information
Stamps issued during the Balkan Wars for use on the occupied territories in
Western Turkey and the Aegean Islands, known as New Greece. Some of the islands
also had separate issues for use of the military administration and are today
part of GREECE (HELLAS). These are CHIOS, ICARIA (IKARIA), LEMNOS, Lesbos
(see MYTILENE) and SAMOS. Stamps were issued between 1912-1923.
