A former Spanish Colony on the west coast of Africa, in the Gulf of Guinea.
Formerly part of the Postal Region of SPANISH GUINEA. In 1960 it became an
Overseas Province of SPAIN (ESPANA) (including the islands of Elobey and Corisco) and in
1968 it united with FERNANDO POO to form the independent EQUATORIAL GUINEA.
Until 1960 stamps of Spanish Guinea were in use. Stamp issuing between
1960-1968.
