A port town on the Baltic Sea. Formerly part of Prussia, which after World War I
became a Free City. It was ceded to Poland in 1924 and a Polish Post Office
opened in 1925 (see DANZIG, Polish Post). In World War II reoccupied by GERMANY,
after the war becoming part of POLAND. Stamp issuing between 1920-1939.
