Information
Formerly a part of NEW ZEALAND Antarctic territory. A special overprint on New
Zealand stamp prepared in 1907 for the use of the Shackleton Expedition to
Antarctica which were in fact never used as the expedition never reached its
goal. However, it was the first Antarctic territory to issue stamps. Today part
of this territory is included within the ROSS DEPENDENCY.
